Hadrian’s wall to light up Olympics 2012

In celebration of the coming Olympics, Hadrian’s Wall is set to be illuminated for the second time within the last two years. However, this time it will be using LEDs, not flaming torches.

Suspended inside giant weather balloons the LEDs will transform this landmark into a line of pulsating colours, fusing history with 21st century lighting technology.

The massive project will reach it’s live installation date on Friday 31st August 2012, and the event will be broadcast worldwide. Click on link below for the full news report on this exciting event.
